ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
Davidsonville Ruritan Club has served the Davidsonville MD and surrounding community since 1955. Rurtian members work to enhance the quality of life through community service and to make our community a better place to live and work.
Davidsonville Ruritan Club is proud to be an organization of positive people doing positive things in our community. We take pride in the things we bring to the Davidsonville and surrounding community area.
Our meetings are monthly on the last Thursday of the month. All meetings are held at the Community Center and include meal service and club business. We gather at 6:30 PM. Visitors are welcome by contacting a current member to coordinate a reservation. We offer membership to all local people of good character and any occupation including retirees. Our annual dues are $150.00 which includes meals at all meetings. Husband and wife teams are very welcome. We don't see strangers, just friends we've never met.
WHAT WE DO
Davidsonville Ruritan Club works to improve the community through five service areas:
Business & Professions; Citizenship and Patriotism; Environment; Public Service; and Social Development.
Davidsonville Ruritan Foundation provides financial assistance in the form of four year scholarships to help students further their education after graduation from high school.
The Foundation reaches out to the community in many other aspects such as:
Provides Athletic Fields for Davidsonville Athletic Association, various programs to assist senior citizens including an annual luncheon in their honor, support of local Boy, Girl, and Cub Scout troops and packs, multiple awards and grants to many local non profit groups seeking assistance, gifts to schools, nursing homes, and needy families, and much more.
